We are very excited to announce that Breastnet has successfully made the conversion to digital mammography! Because we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of new technology in the breast health arena, we knew it was time to make the conversion.

What does this mean to our Breastnet patients? The advantages for our patients are many:

Digital mammography is faster

The images from the digital machine are instantly transferred to a high-resolution monitor, where they are reviewed by our radiologists

Our radiologists no longer have to wait for films to be developed in the darkroom

We can deliver even quicker results to their patients at the time of their visit

The images are spectacular and allow the radiologist to see calcifications more easily, which translates to fewer additional views before a diagnosis can be made

Even though the compression process is the same, if there is a necessity to repeat an image due to motion or positioning, it can be done before the technologist leaves the exam room and the patient doesn't have to wait.
